Rheumatoid arthritis in detail

Hereditary factors and rheumatoid arthritis

After science research data over the past 20 years revealed a direct link between hereditary factors and the development of rheumatoid arthritis. This is the responsibility of blood cells – lymphocytes present the main tissue gene recognition – MHC or call it human leukocyte antigen. Part of this gene or the control circuits of the immune system response the ambient and internal environment changes.

The human immune system then it would have to deal with any adverse environmental and internal environment factors, neutralized, and hence preventing the disease. Rheumatoid arthritis case for unknown reasons for part of the immune system is unable to counteract the virus, microbe particles are unable to neutralize the harmful effects of the environment the cells – for example, smoking, as well as the immune system and the central nervous system is unable to cope with a severe physical injury and emotional experiences.

This process occurs in interaction of the immune-system cells – leukocytes activation processes in the bloodstream and joints, or internal shell synovium. This process is a result of increased fluid in the joints, they become painful and movement restrictions start to appear, sometimes joint becomes hot and reddened skin above it appears.

These manifestations are due to immune cell interactions produced biologically active operation. These biologically active substances called cytokines and rheumatoid arthritis synovial process, or joint fluid rapidly increasing cytokine responsible for inflammatory processes in the body count. They are tumor necrotizing factor alpha, interleukin-1 and interleukin-6. To neutralize these cytokines and thus stop the disease – rheumatoid arthritis in the nineties of the last century has been the creation of new medicine – cytokine blockers.

How to set a rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a disease in which the diagnosis cannot be installed on one blood tests or X-rays. To clarify the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis, your doctor needs answers to a lot of questions. Doctor might think that you don’t have RA yet, then he/she will ask:

Which joints hurt?

Usually, this question is followed by more specific questions – To be prompted for each joint group, and also pain in the spine, as well as the backbone consists of the joints.

How long do your joints hurt?

Do they hurt all the time or are pain  sudden or become stronger gradually? Do your joints hurt before you had a strong physical overload or severe emotional experience? – Last question you will be asked to specify a factor that may be the reason onset of disease processes for a particular patient.

Do you have morning stiffness of the joints?

– A feeling that the joints are less moving in the morning than in the afternoon and evening? – If you have morning stiffness, then in which areas and for how long – minutes, hours – this lasts. It may also happen that made relapse cases, the pain and morning stiffness starts at night, and it interferes with night’s sleep. Express RA exacerbations may feel that the blanket at night is very severe or faces of the posture in which to turn in stand up to pull a blanket on one side or the other.

Is RA a very painful disease?

Pain in the joints of RA patients may be at different levels of intensity, and they can make people immediately go to the doctor, but sometimes, it may be less pronounced, and then people come to the doctor later. Most patients afflicted with rheumatoid arthritis morning, appears a general fatigue, drowsiness, chills, loss of appetite, elevated body temperature, which is a normal response of the human body against the disease, and the symptoms are usually the ones that make people go to the doctor.
